Biography

Angad Singh Thakuri is a graphic designer and an artist. Born and raised in Nepal, he now lives and works in New York City.

Angad’s journey is a little different than most. He focused on maths and science in high school with grand plans of becoming an engineer. After realizing he sucked at it, and with some luck, Angad came to New York City. Angad went to the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and during his four years at the Cooper Union, he received a rigorous multidisciplinary education on Fine Arts. He mainly focused in Painting and Graphic design, at the same time, he explored other disciplines like Drawing, Printmaking, Photography, Film, and Video. Fast forward a few years and through a whole lot of ass-busting, Angad is now a visual designer, and a painter.

Angad is obsessed with making things better. His specialty is strategy, design and development. He has worked for startups, small businesses and nonprofits for more than 10+ years. His works, however, extend beyond the web and love helping clients with brand identity, product design, print design, social media marketing, and creative direction.

Apart from the design bit, he is a fan of soccer, chess, and philosophy.

Angad believes that the most innovative solution to a complex problem begins with thinking.

Angad believes that design thinking is key to enhanced creativity and a process to a solution. That good design should stand out between visual and conceptual world. Like, Saul Bass’, “Design is thinking made visual”, brings ideas to life. He thinks that with teamwork you can conquer the world. That success is only fulfilling when it can be shared.
